What is Triple Talaq in India?
“Triple Talaq” or “Instant Divorce” is divorcing by merely uttering “talaq talaq talaq”. This is a legal but controversial practice in India by which a Muslim man can divorce his wife. It is banned across much of the Islamic world; including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, etc.
The Triple Talaq (Instant Divorce) Logo was made during my Internship at a famous Indian News Channel called India Today (Aaj Tak). During my Internship this was one of the major current affairs. The Logo represents the Justice Lady, who is an allegorical personification of the moral in judicial system but in a Muslim avatar. Just like the Justice Lady, she’s holding a sword and a balance and her eyes are blindfolded but instead of being dressed in a toga, she is dressed in a hijab. Since, the letter ‘T’ are both common in ’Triple Talaq,’ therefore, the ‘T’ is common. The color used for the type font is a shade of Red, which symbolizes power, strength and courage.
The type font used is called ‘Quiet Streets’ from www.dafont.com. The font used is san serif, long and bold.
